Time to reflect.... because He lives!
T.G.I.F
This coming 10 April 2009, T.G.I.F - Thank God It's Friday. It is special because it is Good Friday as we are reminded of God's
unconditional love for us. "God demonstrates His own love for us in
this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom 5:8) Thank God that Jesus did not remain dead. Good Friday gave way to a better day - the day of His resurrection that validated He is Christ our Saviour! Henceforth, we do not need to journey through life like the two disciples on their way to Emmaus after the resurrection - downcast. Look
up and live for He is risen. Jn 11:26,27 "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" May our answer be the same as Martha who proclaimed,"Yes, Lord," she told Him, "I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world." Life without Christ is a hopeless end; life with Christ is an endless hope. T.G.I.F should now mean Today God Is First! Because He lives!
